Peach Crumble

This delicious peach crumble is made with fresh peaches and a buttery crumb topping.

Ingredients

  • Chopped nuts (optional) - 1/2 cup
  • Rolled oats - 1 cup
  • Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup, cold and cubed
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • All - purpose flour - 1/4 cup
  • Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Peaches - 6 cups, peeled and sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Toss until the peaches are coated.
  3. Transfer the peach mixture to a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the cold cubed butter, brown sugar, rolled oats, and chopped nuts (if using). Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the peaches.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the peaches are bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
