Parmesan Crusted Chicken

This Parmesan crusted chicken is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
  • Parmesan cheese - 1 cup, grated
  • Chicken breasts - 4 boneless, skinless

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, then coat it with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the coated chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is crispy.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
