New York Style Cheesecake

This classic New York style cheesecake is rich, creamy, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Eggs - 4 large
  • Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
  • Sour cream - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 1/2 cups
  • Cream cheese - 32 oz, softened
  • Butter - 1/2 cup, melted
  • Graham cracker crumbs - 2 cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
  5. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
  6. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract and mix well.
  7. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  8. Pour the mixture into the cooled crust.
  9. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  10. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  13. Remove the cheesecake from the pan and slice to serve.
