Mushroom and Parmesan Alfredo

This creamy and flavorful mushroom and Parmesan Alfredo pasta is a delicious and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Parmesan cheese - 1 cup, grated
  • Heavy cream - 1 cup
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Pasta - 12 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the mushrooms and garlic to the skillet and cook until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
