Creamy Parmesan Pasta with Mushrooms and Chicken

This creamy and flavorful pasta dish is made with tender chicken, sautéed mushrooms, and a rich Parmesan cheese sauce.

Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Pasta - 8 oz, cooked according to package instructions
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Heavy cream - 1 cup
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Mushrooms - 8 oz, sliced
  • Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden brown and the garlic is fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and cooked chicken back to the skillet. Toss until everything is well coated in the creamy sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
  8. Serve the creamy Parmesan pasta with mushrooms and chicken hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
