Mushroom and Chicken Alfredo Pasta

This creamy and flavorful mushroom and chicken Alfredo pasta is a delicious and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped (for garnish)
  • Pasta - 12 oz, cooked according to package instructions
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Heavy cream - 1 cup
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Mushrooms - 8 oz, sliced
  • Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and golden, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and cooked chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta and chicken with the sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until everything is heated through.
  8. Serve the mushroom and chicken Alfredo pasta hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
