Mayan Macchiato

A delicious and spicy twist on the classic macchiato, inspired by Mayan flavors.

Ingredients

  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1/8 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cocoa powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Espresso - 1 shot

Instructions

  1. Brew a shot of espresso and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  3. Whisk in the cocoa powder, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and honey until well combined.
  4. Pour the hot milk mixture into a mug.
  5. Slowly pour the espresso shot over the milk, allowing it to create a layered effect.
  6. Optional: sprinkle some additional cocoa powder on top for garnish.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
