Maine Crab Cakes

These delicious crab cakes are packed with flavor and make a great appetizer or main course.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Saltine crackers - 1 cup, crushed
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Hot sauce - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
  • Maine crab meat - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, parsley, green onions, crushed saltine crackers, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 patties.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the crab cakes to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  5. Serve the crab cakes with a side of tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
