Dungeness Crab Cakes

These Dungeness crab cakes are a delicious and luxurious appetizer or main course, made with fresh Dungeness crab meat, breadcrumbs, and a variety of seasonings.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil - For frying
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
  • Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
  • Dungeness crab meat - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, green onions, and beaten egg. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into patties and place them on a lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to help the patties hold their shape.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the crab cakes and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Serve the crab cakes hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
