Lebanese Tabouli Salad

Tabouli salad is a refreshing and flavorful Lebanese dish made with bulgur wheat, fresh herbs, vegetables, and a tangy lemon dressing.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1/4 cup
  • Fresh mint - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley - 1 cup, finely chopped
  • Red onion - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomatoes - 2 medium, diced
  • Bulgur wheat - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Place the bulgur wheat in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then drain and fluff with a fork.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, parsley, and mint.
  3. Add the cooked bulgur wheat to the bowl and mix well.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy!
