  • Cherry tomatoes - 12
  • Bell peppers - 2, cut into chunks
  • Red onion - 1 large, cut into chunks
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Beef sirloin - 1.5 pounds, cut into 1-inch cubes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to make the marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef cubes onto the wooden skewers, alternating with chunks of red onion, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes.
  5. Grill the kebabs for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness and the vegetables are slightly charred.
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the Lebanese beef shish kebabs with rice, pita bread, and a side of tzatziki sauce or garlic sauce.
