This classic hamburger recipe features a juicy beef patty, fresh vegetables, and a toasted bun.

Ingredients

  • Mustard - 4 tablespoons
  • Ketchup - 4 tablespoons
  • Pickles - 4 slices
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce - 4 leaves
  • Hamburger buns - 4
  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground beef - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  4. Place the patties on the grill or griddle and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun.
  7. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices, and pickles.
  8. Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of each bun.
  9. Cover the burgers with the top bun and serve immediately.
