Grilled Onion Burger

This juicy grilled onion burger is packed with flavor and topped with caramelized onions.

Ingredients

  • Mustard - 4 tablespoons
  • Ketchup - 4 tablespoons
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce - 4 leaves
  • Cheese slices - 4
  • Hamburger buns - 4
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 large, thinly sliced
  • Ground beef - 1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Form the beef mixture into 4 patties.
  4. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. While the patties are grilling, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the sliced onions.
  6. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  7. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or two.
  8. Place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun.
  9. Top each patty with a cheese slice, caramelized onions, lettuce, and tomato slices.
  10. Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of each bun.
  11. Cover the burgers with the top bun and serve immediately.
