Spicy Beef Stir Fry

This spicy beef stir fry is a delicious and flavorful dish made with tender beef, fresh vegetables, and a spicy sauce.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Broccoli florets - 2 cups
  • Onion - 1, thinly sliced
  • Bell peppers - 2, thinly sliced
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water to make a slurry.
  4. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  5. Add the marinated beef and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and broccoli florets. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  7. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and pour in the cornstarch slurry. Stir fry for another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
