Ingredients

  • Pickles - 4 slices
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato - 2 slices
  • Lettuce - 4 leaves
  • Buns - 2
  • Vegetable oil - 2 cups
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • All - purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Buttermilk - 1 cup
  • Chicken breasts - 2

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in a bowl and pour buttermilk over them. Let them marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken breasts from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off.
  5. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, coating them evenly.
  6. Carefully place the coated chicken breasts in the hot oil and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Transfer the cooked chicken breasts to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Toast the buns in a toaster or on a grill.
  9. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, then layer with lettuce, tomato slices, fried chicken breast, and pickles.
  10. Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
