Fig and Walnut Crusted Figs with Orange Marmalade

These delicious figs are coated in a crunchy walnut crust and served with tangy orange marmalade.

Ingredients

  • Orange marmalade - 1/2 cup
  • Flour - 1/2 cup
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Walnuts - 1 cup, finely chopped
  • Fresh figs - 8

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut a small cross at the top of each fig, about halfway down.
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine the chopped walnuts and flour.
  4. Dip each fig into the beaten egg, then roll it in the walnut-flour mixture, pressing gently to coat.
  5. Place the coated figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the walnut crust is golden brown and crispy.
  7. While the figs are baking, heat the orange marmalade in a small saucepan over low heat until warmed through.
  8. Serve the warm figs with a drizzle of orange marmalade on top.
