Fig and Walnut Crusted Figs

These delicious figs are coated in a crunchy walnut crust, making them the perfect sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Walnuts - 1 cup, finely chopped
  • Fresh figs - 8

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut a small slit in the top of each fig and gently open it up.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the chopped walnuts, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  4. Stuff each fig with the walnut mixture, pressing it gently to secure.
  5. Place the stuffed figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the walnuts are golden and fragrant.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the figs as is or with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
