Fig and Blue Cheese Stuffed Figs with Walnut Crumble

These delicious stuffed figs are filled with creamy blue cheese and topped with a crunchy walnut crumble.

Ingredients

  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh thyme - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Walnuts - 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Blue cheese - 4 ounces
  • Fresh figs - 8

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut a small slit in the top of each fig and gently open it up.
  3. Stuff each fig with a small piece of blue cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, honey, fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Place the stuffed figs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Sprinkle the walnut crumble mixture over the top of each stuffed fig.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the walnuts are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve the figs warm as an appetizer or as a delicious addition to a cheese platter.
