Crab Cake Sandwich

This delicious crab cake sandwich is made with fresh crab meat, seasoned breadcrumbs, and served on a toasted bun with tartar sauce.

Ingredients

  • Tartar sauce - 1/4 cup
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Lettuce - A few leaves
  • Buns - 2, toasted
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Panko breadcrumbs - 1/2 cup
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Old bay seasoning - 1 teaspoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
  • Crab meat - 1 pound, lump or jumbo lump

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter.
  3. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the crab cakes for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Spread tartar sauce on the toasted buns.
  5. Place a crab cake on each bun, and top with lettuce and tomato slices.
  6. Serve the crab cake sandwiches immediately, and enjoy!
