Churros Rellenos

Delicious churros filled with creamy chocolate ganache.

Ingredients

  • Heavy cream - 1/2 cup
  • Dark chocolate - 4 ounces
  • Vegetable oil - For frying
  • Eggs - 3
  • All - purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Butter - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add flour. Stir until the mixture forms a ball.
  3. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Pipe 4-inch long churros into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors.
  6. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. In a separate bowl, melt the dark chocolate and mix in the heavy cream to make the ganache filling.
  8. Using a small piping bag or a ziplock bag with the corner snipped off, fill the churros with the chocolate ganache.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
