Cannoli French Toast

This is a delicious twist on classic French toast, combining the flavors of a cannoli with the texture of French toast. It's a perfect breakfast or brunch dish that's sure to impress.

Ingredients

  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Chocolate chips - 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup, plus more for dusting
  • Ricotta cheese - 1 cup
  • Bread - 8 slices
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Eggs - 4

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are well coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and chocolate chips.
  4. Spread the ricotta mixture onto 4 slices of the bread, then top with the remaining slices to make sandwiches.
