Cabbage and Carrot Fritters

These crispy and flavorful cabbage and carrot fritters are perfect as a snack or side dish.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1
  • All - purpose flour - 1/2 cup
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Carrots - 2 medium, grated
  • Cabbage - 2 cups, shredded

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and chopped onion.
  2. Add the all-purpose flour, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Scoop about 1/4 cup of the fritter mixture and drop it into the hot oil. Flatten it slightly with a spatula.
  5. Cook the fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the fritters from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining fritter mixture.
  8. Serve the cabbage and carrot fritters hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
