Bok Choy and Vegetable Dumplings

These delicious dumplings are filled with a flavorful mixture of bok choy, vegetables, and spices.

Ingredients

  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Wonton wrappers - 24
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Green onions - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Mushrooms - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
  • Carrots - 1/2 cup, grated
  • Bok choy - 2 cups, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the bok choy, carrots, mushrooms, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  2. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper.
  4. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.
  5. Bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together and press to seal, forming a dumpling shape.
  6. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  7. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
  8. Place the dumplings in the skillet, flat side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
  9. Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam the dumplings for 5-7 minutes, or until the wrappers are translucent and the filling is cooked through.
  10. Serve the dumplings hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
