Bok Choy and Sesame Chicken

This delicious stir-fry combines tender chicken, fresh bok choy, and a flavorful sesame sauce.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Bok choy - 4 heads, chopped
  • Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce.
  2. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the chopped bok choy and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly wilted.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce over the chicken and bok choy.
  6. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
  9. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
