Belgian Style Waffles with Nutella

These fluffy Belgian-style waffles are topped with creamy Nutella for a delicious breakfast or brunch treat.

Ingredients

  • Powdered sugar - For dusting
  • Fresh berries - For serving
  • Nutella - 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup, melted
  • Milk - 1 3/4 cups
  • Eggs - 2
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Granulated sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • All - purpose flour - 2 cups

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  4. Preheat a waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  5. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, using about 1/2 cup of batter per waffle. Close the lid and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Remove the waffles from the iron and keep warm. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  7. To serve, spread Nutella generously on top of each waffle. Garnish with fresh berries and dust with powdered sugar.
