Banana Cinnamon Rolls

These delicious banana cinnamon rolls are a perfect combination of sweet and gooey. Made with ripe bananas and a cinnamon sugar filling, they are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup
  • Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon - 2 teaspoons
  • Egg - 1
  • Milk - 1/2 cup, warm
  • Unsalted butter - 1/4 cup, melted
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Active dry yeast - 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • Granulated sugar - 1/4 cup
  • All - purpose flour - 3 cups
  • Ripe bananas - 2, mashed

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add the melted butter, warm milk, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape on a lightly floured surface.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the dough.
  8. Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
  9. Cut the log into 12 equal slices and place them in a greased baking dish.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  12. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls.
  13. Serve and enjoy!
