This smoky and spicy Ancho Chili BBQ Sauce is perfect for adding a kick to your grilled meats.

Ingredients

  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Apple cider vinegar - 1/4 cup
  • Brown sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Ketchup - 1 cup
  • Ancho chili powder - 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the ancho chili powder, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and water.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove the sauce from heat and let it cool before using.
  6. Store the Ancho Chili BBQ Sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
