Z Man Sandwich
The Z-Man Sandwich is a popular BBQ sandwich from Kansas City. It's made with slow-smoked brisket, smoked provolone cheese, and crispy onion rings, all piled high on a soft Kaiser roll.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Kaiser rolls - 4
- Onion rings - 8
- Provolone cheese - 8 slices
- Bbq sauce - 1/2 cup
- Bbq rub - 1/4 cup
- Beef brisket - 2 pounds
Let's Get Started
- Rub the brisket all over with the BBQ rub, then place in a smoker and smoke for about 4 hours, or until tender.
- Once the brisket is done, slice it thinly against the grain.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and bake the onion rings according to the package instructions.
- Slice the Kaiser rolls in half and place a generous amount of brisket on the bottom half of each roll.
- Top the brisket with two slices of provolone cheese, then place under the broiler for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and top with two onion rings and a drizzle of BBQ sauce.
- Place the top half of the roll on the sandwich, then serve immediately.
