Yuca Fries
Crispy and flavorful yuca fries, perfect as a side dish or snack.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 cups
- Yuca - 2 large, peeled and cut into fries
Let's Get Started
- Place the yuca fries in a large pot of salted boiling water and cook for 10 minutes, or until slightly tender.
- Drain the yuca fries and let them cool for a few minutes.
- In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully add the yuca fries to the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the hot yuca fries and toss to coat evenly.
- Serve the yuca fries immediately as a side dish or snack.
