Let's Get Started

  1. Measure the water and pour it into a small cezve (Turkish coffee pot).
  2. Add the Turkish coffee and sugar (if desired) to the cezve.
  3. Place the cezve on the stovetop over low heat.
  4. Stir the mixture continuously with a small spoon until the coffee and sugar are dissolved.
  5. Continue heating the coffee until it starts to foam and rise.
  6. Just before it reaches a boil, remove the cezve from the heat.
  7. Let the coffee sit for a few seconds to allow the grounds to settle.
  8. Pour the coffee into small cups, making sure to distribute the foam evenly.
  9. Serve the Turkish coffee with a glass of water on the side.
