Tempeh Bacon Blt Sandwich

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Slice the tempeh into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, maple syrup, liquid smoke, and garlic powder. Add the tempeh and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the tempeh and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes on each side.
  4. Toast the bread slices.
  5. Spread vegan mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  6. On one slice of bread, layer the lettuce, tomato, and tempeh bacon. Top with the second slice of bread.
  7. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 4 sandwiches.
