- Wood chips (such as apple or hickory) - 2 cups, soaked in water
- Paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Onion powder - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 2 tablespoons
- Whole duck - 1 (about 4-5 pounds)

- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
- Rinse the duck under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
