Shrimp and Grits Mac and Cheese

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. In a large pot, bring the milk to a boil. Stir in the grits and reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring frequently, until the grits are creamy, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni, shrimp, and bacon to the pot and stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the mac and cheese hot, garnished with extra shredded cheese if desired.
