Sharbat E Goliyeh
Sharbat-e Goliyeh is a traditional Iranian drink made from rose petals. It's refreshing, fragrant, and perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Ice cubes - As needed
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 4 cups
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Dried rose petals - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- Place the dried rose petals in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Let it steep for 20 minutes.
- Strain the rose petals, reserving the liquid.
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the rose petal liquid to the sugar syrup and stir well.
- Remove from heat and add the lemon juice.
- Let the mixture cool completely.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sharbat over the ice.
