Let's Get Started

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and add the vinegar. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Add the mint to the saucepan and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes.
  4. Strain the syrup and discard the mint. Let the syrup cool.
  5. To serve, dilute the syrup with water to taste, add ice, and garnish with cucumber slices if desired.
