Pastillas
Pastillas are a popular Filipino sweet treat made with condensed milk and powdered milk.
Ingredients - Serves 12
- White sugar (for coating) - 1/4 cup
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Granulated sugar - 1/4 cup
- Powdered milk - 1 cup
- Condensed milk - 1 can (14 oz)
Let's Get Started
- In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed milk, powdered milk, granulated sugar, and butter. Mix well until a thick dough-like consistency is formed.
- Scoop a tablespoonful of the mixture and roll it into a small cylindrical shape.
- Roll the shaped pastillas in white sugar to coat all sides.
- Repeat the process until all the mixture is used.
- Place the coated pastillas on a plate or tray and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
- Serve and enjoy!
