Muffuletta
A traditional sandwich from New Orleans, the Muffuletta is filled with a variety of meats, cheese, and a tangy olive salad.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Swiss cheese - 1/4 pound, sliced
- Provolone cheese - 1/4 pound, sliced
- Ham - 1/4 pound, sliced
- Salami - 1/4 pound, sliced
- Mortadella - 1/4 pound, sliced
- Olive salad - 1 cup
- Round italian bread - 1 loaf
Let's Get Started
- Cut the bread in half horizontally.
- Spread the olive salad on the bottom half of the bread.
- Layer the mortadella, salami, ham, provolone, and Swiss cheese on top of the olive salad.
- Place the top half of the bread on the sandwich.
- Press down on the sandwich to compress the ingredients.
- Cut the sandwich into quarters and serve.
