Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Ketchup - 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Ham - 4 slices
- Onion - 1/4 cup, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1/2 cup, julienned
- Cabbage - 1/2 cup, thinly sliced
- White bread - 4 slices
- Eggs - 4
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Pour half of the beaten eggs into the pan and cook until set, flipping once.
- Repeat with the remaining beaten eggs.
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, and sugar to make the sauce.
- Spread the sauce on one side of each bread slice.
- On one slice of bread, layer the cooked eggs, cabbage, carrot, onion, and ham.
- Top with another slice of bread, sauce side down.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make another sandwich.
- Heat a pan or sandwich press over medium heat and melt the remaining butter.
- Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy, flipping once.
- Remove from the pan, slice in half, and serve hot.
