Grilled Cheese with Pesto and Mozzarella
This grilled cheese sandwich is elevated with the addition of flavorful pesto and gooey mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Mozzarella cheese - 4 slices
- Pesto sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Bread slices - 4
Let's Get Started
- Spread pesto sauce evenly on two slices of bread.
- Place two slices of mozzarella cheese on top of the pesto sauce on each slice of bread.
- Cover with the remaining two slices of bread to form sandwiches.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches, buttered side down, on the skillet or griddle.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
- Flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a minute before serving.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
