Green Bean and Sesame Stir Fry
This delicious stir fry features crisp green beans tossed in a savory sesame sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Green beans - 1 pound, trimmed and halved
Let's Get Started
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 2-3 minutes, until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cooked green beans to the skillet and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until heated through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce and honey. Pour the sauce over the green beans and toss to coat.
- Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the stir fry and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Continue to stir fry for another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly and the green beans are well coated.
