Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue cooking until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the grated Gruyere cheese and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the steamed cauliflower in a baking dish and pour the cheese sauce over it. Mix well to coat the cauliflower evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the gratin is golden and bubbly.
