  1. In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved.

  5. Every 30 minutes, stir the mixture with a fork to break up the ice crystals until a slushy consistency is achieved. This should take about 2-3 hours.
  6. Serve the granizado in chilled glasses for a refreshing dessert.
