Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the carob powder, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the applesauce, honey, vanilla extract, and eggs.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the water, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
