Broccoli and Cauliflower Gratin

Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Steam the broccoli and cauliflower florets until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Place the steamed broccoli and cauliflower in a baking dish.
  9. Pour the cheese sauce over the vegetables and mix well to coat.
  10. In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
  11. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the gratin.
  12. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  13. Serve hot and enjoy!
