Asparagus and Gruyere Tart

- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Asparagus - 1 bunch, trimmed
- Gruyere cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Puff pastry - 1 sheet, thawed
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a floured surface, roll the puff pastry out to a large rectangle. Transfer to a baking sheet.
- With a sharp knife, lightly score the pastry dough 1 inch in from the edges to mark a rectangle. Using a fork, pierce the dough inside the markings at half-inch intervals.
- Bake until golden, about 15 minutes.
- Remove the pastry shell from the oven, sprinkle with Gruyere. Arrange the asparagus on the cheese, alternating ends and tips. Brush with oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake until the asparagus is tender, 20 to 25 minutes.
