Asparagus and Gruyere Tart

Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll the puff pastry out to a large rectangle. Transfer to a baking sheet.
  3. With a sharp knife, lightly score the pastry dough 1 inch in from the edges to mark a rectangle. Using a fork, pierce the dough inside the markings at half-inch intervals.
  4. Bake until golden, about 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the pastry shell from the oven, sprinkle with Gruyere. Arrange the asparagus on the cheese, alternating ends and tips. Brush with oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Bake until the asparagus is tender, 20 to 25 minutes.
