Let's Get Started

  1. In a large saucepan, sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let stand for 5 minutes to soften.
  2. Add the granulated sugar to the saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar and gelatin are completely dissolved.
  3. Stir in the applesauce, apricots, walnuts, and lemon juice.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan and refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours.
  5. Cut the candy into squares and roll each piece in powdered sugar.
  6. Store the Aplets and Cotlets in an airtight container at room temperature.
