White Sauce

A creamy and versatile white sauce that can be used in various dishes.

Ingredients

  • Nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • All - purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, making sure there are no lumps.
  4. Cook the sauce over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and comes to a simmer.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before using in your desired dish.
