Ingredients
Orange zest - 2 tablespoons
Cinnamon - 2 tablespoons
Unsalted butter - 1 cup, softened
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
All - purpose flour - 4 cups
Eggs - 2
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Active dry yeast - 1 tablespoon
Milk - 1 cup
Instructions
In a small saucepan, warm the milk over low heat until it reaches 110°F. Remove from heat and sprinkle the yeast over the milk, let it sit for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, flour, and salt. Add the milk and yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
Add the softened butter and knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Sprinkle the cinnamon and orange zest over the dough.
Roll the dough into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place each piece in a greased muffin tin.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
