Tantanmen

Tantanmen is a spicy and flavorful Japanese ramen dish with a rich sesame and chili broth.

Ingredients

  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Soft - boiled eggs - 2
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Bok choy - 2 heads, chopped
  • Ramen noodles - 2 servings
  • Chicken broth - 4 cups
  • Chili bean paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ground pork - 200g

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground pork, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the pork is browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the soy sauce and chili bean paste. Stir well to combine.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. Add the bok choy to the broth and cook for 2-3 minutes, until wilted.
  7. Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls. Ladle the broth and bok choy over the noodles.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions, soft-boiled eggs, and sesame seeds.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
