Tandoori Mango

This delicious tandoori mango recipe combines the sweetness of ripe mangoes with the smoky and spicy flavors of tandoori marinade.

Ingredients

  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger - garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Yogurt - 1/4 cup
  • Ripe mangoes - 2

Instructions

  1. Peel the mangoes and cut them into thick slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix together yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and vegetable oil to make the marinade.
  3. Add the mango slices to the marinade and gently toss to coat them evenly. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the marinated mango slices for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they have grill marks and are slightly caramelized.
  6. Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  7. Serve the tandoori mango as an appetizer or as a side dish with your favorite Indian meal.
